On August 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province announced that the first Gia Lai Youth Kickboxing Championship in 2025 will take place from August 13 to 21 in Quy Nhon ward, gathering 47 participating roads/c clubs.
The tournament is organized by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in response to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
For the first time, the tournament gathered about 300 martial artists, coaches, and athletes competing in the Lowkick event in 2 age groups of 13-14 and 15-17.
The event contributes to promoting the local Kickboxing movement, creating opportunities for exchanges and learning between martial arts schools and clubs; at the same time, selecting athletes with good expertise to prepare for national and international tournaments; meeting the needs of people to enjoy sports, promoting the image and potential of Gia Lai tourism to tourists.
