Ninh Binh - May 4, the Provincial Police said that the unit is investigating and handling the case of a 9th grade student being beaten and injured in Duy Tien ward.

Previously, on April 24, Duy Tien Ward Police, Ninh Binh province received information reflecting that Le Van D (born in 2010, residing in Duy Tien ward), a 9B student of Foreign Language Specialized Secondary School, was beaten by a group of 7th grade students of the same school with a belt, causing injuries. The incident occurred in the Yen Lenh port industrial park area in Duy Tien ward. After that, the incident was posted on social networks, attracting public attention.

Immediately after receiving the information, Duy Tien Ward Police sent officers to the scene to grasp the situation, coordinate with functional units to work with the Foreign Language Specialized Secondary School, and related organizations and individuals to verify and clarify the content of the case and handle it according to the provisions of law.

Initial verification determined that on April 24, a group of students from the Foreign Language Specialized Secondary School due to conflicts during school activities and studies gathered and beat child D. Due to being beaten, child D suffered pain in the head, neck, left shoulder, and swollen left shoulder.

Immediately after that, Ninh Binh Provincial Police also directed Duy Tien Ward Police to coordinate with the School Board of Directors to organize a working session between school representatives; parents of 8 students who participated in beating child D and representatives of child D's family.

Because the 8 students involved in beating child D are all under 14 years old and do not meet the conditions to apply administrative handling measures, the solution is mainly in the direction of education, deterrence, and coordination between families and schools to manage according to legal regulations.

During the working process, 8 students and their families clearly recognized the wrongdoings of their children, directly apologized to D's family and committed to be responsible for compensating for damage to D's health and spirit.
