The Hanoi Department of Construction has just requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to regularly monitor; preside over and coordinate with functional agencies to inspect the production and business of gasoline and construction materials in the area.
This is to promptly handle cases of hoarding goods, holding goods, causing disruption of supply chains, pushing prices up unreasonably high, affecting the construction progress of investment projects, especially key national projects.
The Department of Construction requests investors to proactively review the list of projects being implemented, determine the total demand for gasoline and oil and send it to the Department of Industry and Trade for support in working with supply units, in order to ensure stable supply and minimize the impact of gasoline and oil price fluctuations on construction investment costs.
Investors need to review and synthesize the needs of all types of materials, and send them to the Department of Agriculture and Environment for guidance on the order and procedures for proposing management and exploitation plans for material mines.
Regarding material supply, there are currently 16 river sand mine areas that are not auctioned for mineral exploitation rights according to Decision No. 1170/QD-UBND dated March 16, 2026 of the Hanoi People's Committee. For basalt mines, there are still 6 mines with a total reserve of about 24.8 million m3, according to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment in Document No. 3181/SNNMT-KSTNN dated March 23, 2026.
The Hanoi Department of Construction also requests the People's Committees of communes and wards to closely monitor market developments for goods and services under their management authority; promptly propose management and price stabilization solutions. At the same time, strictly implement the regime of reporting on price management and operation work periodically to the Department of Construction for summarization and reporting to the Department of Finance, the Ministry of Finance and the Price Management Steering Committee according to regulations.
