On the afternoon of June 10, the Party Committee - Squadron 422 (Ship 42 - Coast Guard Region 4 Command) held a Conference to review the work of the Coast Guard in the first 6 months of the year, proposing solutions to carry out the tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the Party Committee of Squadron 422 has thoroughly grasped the situation and key political tasks, focused on leadership, and implemented the tasks well and excellently.
Notable are: Strictly maintaining combat readiness regimes; patrolling, checking, controlling, and enforcing the law at sea. Grasp the situation at sea, promptly advise superiors to promptly handle situations at sea, do not be passive or surprised. Monitor and direct 28 ships and boats operating in coastal areas, traveling more than 13,500 nautical miles safely; develop and implement the 2025 Coast Guard work plan to ensure quality.

Closely coordinate with armed forces in the area and locality where the troops are stationed to synchronously and effectively implement the work of preventing and combating IUU fishing; increase patrols and controls, prevent foreign vessels from encroaching on Vietnam's sea areas.
Coordinated with the Police on the boat to inspect and fine 30 fishing vessels for administrative violations in the field of IUU, the total fine was more than 251 million VND. The ships and boats have promoted to 875 ships/5,508 crew members, distributed nearly 5,500 leaflets, presented 553 national flags, and promoted through fishing machines to 1,856 ships/ 15,566 crew members. Ensure synchronization of logistics, engineering, finance and other aspects of work for task implementation.
Speaking at the Conference, Lieutenant Colonel Vu Dinh Nga, Deputy Political Commissar of Squadron 42, highly appreciated and praised the achievements of the officers and soldiers of Squadron 422 in the first 6 months of 2025. In the coming time, the Party Committee and Command of Squadron 422 are required to focus on leading and directing units to be highly combat-ward, not to be passive or surprised; promote the core role in law enforcement and protect security, sovereignty, order and safety at sea.
Closely coordinate with forces, exchange information, prevent foreign vessels from encroaching on seas and islands, and protect the safety of fishermen's marine economic activities in the Southwest sea.
