Hai Phong displays documentary photos to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution

Hai Phong - The exhibition at the Xu Dong Cultural Center honors the 50-year journey of national history and awards the 2025 Contest for contemporary - Artistic photos.

On August 19, at the Xu Dong Cultural Center, Hai Phong City, a photo and documentary exhibition was opened to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the 80th anniversary of the Information Culture Industry, and the 2025 Contest for news and art photos was awarded.

The exhibition "80 years of the heroic song of independence" organized by the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Department of Tourism, introduces more than 100 historical documentary photos, recreates the journey from the founding of the Party, the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam to the struggle for independence, building and defending the Fatherland.

The works express the will and determination of the nation throughout the revolutionary journey, while depicting the country's outstanding milestones in the period of innovation, integration and development.

The exhibition also displays the outstanding achievements of the country and Hai Phong City over the past 80 years in many fields: economy, society, national defense - security, health, education... The photo series was compiled from many valuable sources of the City's Electronic Information Portal, press agencies, Hai Phong Museum, Military Region 3 Museum and many other units.

In parallel with the documentary photo exhibition, the opening of the "2025 Current Current - Art" contest will also take place here, introducing 90 photo works by participating authors organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Literature and Arts Association. Of which, 11 excellent works were awarded prizes including 1 First prize, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes and 5 Encouragement prizes.

The exhibition is open to the public from August 19 to September 5 in the main hall of the Xu Dong Cultural Center.
