Accordingly, more than 600 volunteers gathered at Mai Dich Lake Park (Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi) to prepare to participate in the campaign "EARTH DAY Vietnam 2025", a meaningful event to call on the community to join hands to pick up trash and protect the environment.
To make the campaign effective and safe, before starting, volunteers were carefully instructed on the waste collection and classification process. More than 600 volunteers were divided into small groups, together collecting and treating garbage in the park grounds using specialized tools such as gloves, iron clips and garbage bags.

Nguyen Thu Hang, a first-year student at a university in Hanoi, said: "To participate in today's program, I woke up early in the morning and took the bus at 5am to get to the Park and participate in the campaign. Today, the weather is hot and tired, but I feel very happy to work meaningfully for the environment".
Realizing this was a good act to protect the environment, when seeing the company launch a movement to participate in collecting garbage, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoai (Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi) registered to participate in the program with her 2 young children. Through this activity, Ms. Hoai also hopes that her children will be aware of environmental protection and spread the message to friends of the same age.

Also participating in today's environmental protection activities, Mr. Hidenori Tsuji, Finance Director of Panasonic Appliances Vietnam Co., Ltd. expressed: "Today, our company is honored to have about 100 workers and their families participate in the environmental protection collection event. Through this activity, we hope to send a meaningful message: In addition to production, each individual and business needs to maintain awareness and responsibility in protecting the environment. Because the environment always goes hand in hand with us, the environment is clean, production is sustainable and efficient".
Ms. Nguyen Khanh Ly, leader of Hanoi Green, said that today's garbage collection activities of the Hanoi Green community are also part of the activities of the Vietnam Green community. Today, 63 provinces and cities across the country also simultaneously launched garbage collection to protect the environment.
Through this garbage collection event, I hope that young people will act together for the environment, regardless of age or profession. Because protecting the environment is protecting our health and lives, Ms. Nguyen Khanh Ly shared.

After more than 1 hour of collecting garbage, the organizing committee collected 118 bags of garbage (about 1,770kg). After collecting garbage, the hazardous waste will be transferred by the organizing committee to the locality for proper treatment. Recyclable waste will also be used and treated effectively to contribute to minimizing negative impacts on the environment.
