On the afternoon of May 7, Da Nang Oncology Hospital and the Ban Mai Xanh Hot Blood Club organized a humanitarian blood donation with the message "A drop of blood given, a life left behind".

The humanitarian blood donation program "A drop of blood given, a life left behind" not only contributes to timely saving the lives of hundreds of patients who need blood transfusion, but is also an opportunity for the community to spread the spirit of sharing, responsibility and compassion in life.

Early in the afternoon at the lobby on the 2nd floor of Zone C, many people came to register to participate in the activity. The blood donation process is organized methodically and ensured safety. Volunteers are instructed to fill their personal information in the registration form.

The team of doctors at the Oncology Hospital will then conduct a preliminary health check-up, including measuring blood pressure, heart rate and rapid blood testing to determine health status. The blood collection process took place quickly and safely under the supervision of medical staff, ensuring the health of volunteers and the quality of donated blood.

Voluntary blood donation has helped supplement a valuable source of blood for the Oncology Hospital, especially supporting cancer patients - those who need regular blood transfusions to maintain their lives. At the same time, the program raises public awareness of the value of voluntary blood donation and encourages everyone to participate.

Mr. Phan Xuan Phuc, Vice President of the Mai Xanh Hot Blood Club, shared: "The purpose of the program is to supplement emergency blood for the hospital, supporting patients as quickly as possible. The biggest value is to connect all volunteers from 18 to 50 years old to volunteer to participate in blood donation. Because this is a noble gesture that demonstrates the spirit of mutual love of the Vietnamese people".

Everyone participating in the program clearly feels the thoughtfulness and dedication throughout the process of donating precious drops of blood. The activity also brings a warm and friendly atmosphere, making everyone feel proud to have contributed a small part to the journey to save lives in need of blood.

Participating in this blood donation, Do Nguyen Cam Tu - a student in Da Nang shared: "Humanitarian blood donation is a noble gesture and everyone can contribute their youth as well as their youth to help those in more difficult circumstances. I hope this activity will spread widely to and around everyone".

This humanitarian blood donation program not only meets the urgent need for blood sources for treatment, but also reflects the spirit of solidarity and sharing of the community. This is a practical action, contributing to maintaining and promoting profound human values, always appreciated in the hearts of every Vietnamese person.
