On June 14, the " Hair Donation Day" took place at Novotel Nha Trang Hotel. The program was attended by more than 300 local people and tourists who registered to donate hair to cancer patients.
This is the second year the festival has been organized by Novotel Nha Trang Hotel to spread community action to share with patients struggling with cancer treatment.

With the theme "A hair - A hope", from June 10, Novotel Nha Trang Hotel officially opened a link to register for hair donation as a hair for cancer patients being treated on the hotel's fanpage and conveyed information directly about the program to guests staying there.
After 1 week of opening registration, more than 200 people have registered to donate hair at the festival. Among them, there are many special cases that have spent a long time growing hair and donating it to cancer patients with out-of- hair loss.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Phuong, General Manager of Novotel Nha Trang Hotel shared that all staff and workers of the hotel spent 2 days preparing for the festival. Especially the connection with salons in Nha Trang, accompanying free haircuts for the program such as Nguyen Duy, Dong Phong, Xuan Bao, Ken, Tien, Hoang Vinh, Gia Tien.

"The program has really spread when many children are led by their parents to donate their hair. 2K young people are ready to give away their beautiful hair. We believe that a hair can not change the whole world, but for a person being treated for cancer, it can change the whole day, even their fighting spirit Ms. Phuong emphasized.
At the program, the organizing committee received untreated hair samples with a length of 25cm. For curled, dyed hair with a length of 35cm and pre-cut hair not exceeding 2 years. These are also the criteria for the organizing committee to select the most beautiful and quality hairstyles.
Present at the festival very early, Nguyen Tran Phuc Nhu (residing in Phuoc Tan ward, Nha Trang), a second-year student at Nha Trang University, said, "I have been raising my hair for nearly 4 years with the purpose of giving it to those who need hair but do not have the conditions to buy fried hair. I was looking for a place to organize a hair donation program but had not had the opportunity to meet and today I was very happy to know about the program through a relative's introduction. I hope that my 42cm of hair today will help someone have a more beautiful and happier hairstyle."

In the warm and emotional space, hundreds of hairs were cut and given to the organizers. Not only hair, but love, a silent word of encouragement to soldiers who are fighting the disease.
After a day of the program, nearly 180 hairs were received. All hair collected from the festival is sent to the Vietnam Breast Cancer Network for treatment, creating quality hairpins and donating them to patients at Khanh Hoa Oncology Hospital, helping them feel more confident in their treatment journey.
