Recently, actress Nha Phuong posted a video of her hair cutting process to donate hair on the occasion of her new age.
"Toc is not only beautiful but also shared. Fauong's haircut has never been so emotional. Cutting short hair may be a small matter for someone, but today for Phuong is a memorable milestone. The hairdress has gone through many stages with Phuong, now will start a new journey, belonging to a woman who needs more strength", Nha Phuong shared.
However, a part of the audience thought that Nha Phuong's hair had been brightly dyed, using chemicals and undergoing many extensions to create a style, which would not be eligible for hair donation.
The actress's meaningful actions were met with mixed opinions even though she had asked for opinions from the hair donation facility.
Previously, many Vietnamese stars such as Miss Thien An, Miss Y Nhi, Runner-up Phuong Nga, Singer Ai Phuong, Miss Phuong Khanh... also donated hair to cancer patients.
Actress Nguyen Lam Thao Tam once talked about cutting 30 cm of hair to donate to cancer patients. She said that her hair is her pride, cared for naturally from shoulder drops to shoulder level.
MC Hoang Oanh also donated 25 cm of carefully cared hair, minimizing curling, dyeing, and chemical treatment for the Vietnam breast cancer network.
Some opinions say that hair that is often treated with heat and dyed with borage chemicals will be easily damaged and not qualified to be a hairstyle for those in need.

According to the regulations on donated hair of the Vietnam Breast Cancer Network - an organization with a 10-year hair Library program, all types of hair that have been chemically treated with a minimum length of 35cm or more are valid.
However, curled, stretched, dyed hair (wasting natural color) may not be used to make a hairstyle if the hair is weak. This hair type will be sold to have funds to serve the production, management and maintenance costs of the Hair Library.
Therefore, even if donated hair is not enough to make a haircut, donating will still contribute to supporting and helping the organization as well as cancer patients.
In the world, organizations receiving donated hair often accept dyed or chemically treated hair, as long as the hair is still healthy and meets the requirements of minimum length. Some organizations have technical specifications for dyeing colors or hair care shapes.
According to the cancer patient support organization Cancer Society, donated hair must be over 35.5cm long, not dyed, curved or chemically treated in any form. Wigs For Kids also has a regulation that only donated hair cannot be dyed and chemically treated.
Meanwhile, the St. Petersburg Charity Fund Baldrick stipulates that donated hair must be healthy, not with split ends or damage.
