On November 26, the Board of Directors and Parents Association of Chu Van An Secondary School (Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City) presented 50 million VND to support Nguyen Thi Dieu Thao, a 6th grade student in especially difficult circumstances who recently lost her father to a stroke.
Dieu Thao is the second child in a family of three sisters. Her parents have been working for hire in Nghe An for many years, leaving their children to their grandparents to take care of. The youngest child has mild autism, and it is not known to be able to say that the parents have to pay most of the hospital fees for the youngest child.
The house where the whole family lives is also dilapidated, damp, and cramped. His father recently passed away, his mother did not have a stable job, his grandparents were old, and family life became even more difficult.
Sharing the loss of the student, the Parents' Association of Chu Van An Secondary School has launched a fundraising campaign, allocating additional "Friendship Ring" Fund contributed by students from the land goose-pick money and combining contributions from school teachers to support the family.
In a short time, the collective of parents, teachers and students has raised 50 million VND.
The Board of Directors and parents' representatives went directly to the house to give money, encouraging the family to overcome the difficulties soon. On behalf of the family, Mr. Nguyen Dac Y (75 years old, Thao's grandfather) sent his thanks to the school, parents and students for promptly sharing during the disaster.
