On December 22, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that, implementing the direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the Director of the Provincial Police, the Traffic Police force of the Provincial Police simultaneously mobilized, increased forces and vehicles to organize patrols, control and strictly handle violations of traffic safety and order.
Accordingly, many solutions will be deployed synchronously, focusing on grasping the situation, organizing public patrols and controls combined with disguises, closed 24/7 on all traffic routes of the province. Strictly handle violations that are the main causes of traffic accidents such as: Violations of alcohol and drug concentrations; speeding; avoiding, overtaking, stopping, and parking in violation of regulations; vehicles with extended cargo beds, overloaded or oversized cargo; carrying more people than the prescribed number; picking up and dropping off passengers at the wrong place; weaving; not obeying traffic signals...
With the goal of "no forbidden zones, no exceptions", "no intervention" and determination to control and reduce traffic accidents, the Traffic Police force of Thanh Hoa Province will focus on inspecting and strictly handling all violations, especially vehicles used for transporting goods and passengers; motorbikes of all kinds and homemade vehicles operating on national highways, provincial roads, district roads, etc.
After only a few days of operation (from December 15 to 20), the Thanh Hoa Traffic Police force inspected, detected and recorded 1,354 administrative violations, fined more than 3.6 billion VND, temporarily detained nearly 400 vehicles, and revoked driving licenses, badges, and practice certificates of 129 cases.
Of the 1,354 violations, 252 cases were related to alcohol concentration, with fines of more than VND1.1 billion; 121 cases were related to overloading and exceeding the size of the container, with fines of VND343 million; 77 cases were related to speed, with fines of VND418 million...
