Dak Lak - Ea Sup District (Dak Lak) has organized a dialogue with people about the Ea Rock - Ea Le Commune Cluster Center project.

On the morning of May 20, the People's Committee of Ea Sup district (Dak Lak) organized a dialogue with households with complaints related to compensation and site clearance for the Ea rot - Ea Le Commune Cluster Center project.

Here, many opinions of households were raised, revolving around the compensation and land recovery process. The households hope that the authorities will clarify and thoroughly resolve the issue to protect their rights.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh, Deputy Chief Inspector of Dak Lak province, said that the above project had been inspected and issued a conclusion on November 22, 2024.

Mr. Linh affirmed that the settlement of complaints must comply with legal regulations, while emphasizing the support of the people in implementing the project.

Mr. Do Xuan Dung - Chairman of Ea Sup District People's Committee said that the locality is actively implementing the contents in the conclusion of the Provincial Inspectorate.

Mr. Dung also listens and accepts the opinions of the people. For newly arising recommendations, Mr. Dung requested the district departments to synthesize and advise on consideration and resolution according to regulations.

At the dialogue, representatives of Dak Lak Provincial Police instructed people to provide information related to the project to report to leaders for consideration and direction to resolve.

Previously, the Dak Lak Provincial Inspectorate discovered many shortcomings in the implementation of the Ea Rock - Ea Le Commune Cluster Center project.

This project was approved by the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee in 1999 with a total investment of 3.9 billion VND.

The project includes many items such as a commercial market, infirmary, kindergarten, and bus station, with a total planned area of 25 hectares. However, by the time of inspection, only 2/15 items had been implemented.

In addition, the implementation of the residential area planning in Ea Rong commune is also slow. The decision to approve the planning was issued by the People's Committee of Ea Sup district in 2011.

The total investment needed by 2020 is over VND 29.7 billion. However, at the time of inspection, many items were still not completed due to lack of funding.

The inspectorate also pointed out many violations in the process of land acquisition, compensation and resettlement support.

There are many cases of compensation that are not in accordance with regulations, such as not making a record of damage inventory and compensation for incorrect names or areas.

The above violations are determined to belong to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Sup district and related individuals in the period of 1999-2000.
