On August 26, according to Hung Yen Provincial Police, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency has just issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case, prosecuting 13 defendants for gambling. The procedural decisions have been approved by the People's Procuracy of Hung Yen province.
Previously, the Criminal Police Department of Hung Yen Provincial Police received information about crimes from citizens reflecting that recently at VINACOMAX Company in Son Nam ward, there were some subjects who regularly gambled with each other with money.
Then, at about 4:20 pm on August 21, the Criminal Police Department of Hung Yen Provincial Police coordinated with Son Nam Ward Police to catch 13 subjects red-handed in the dining room of the VINACOMAX Company operating house illegally gambling with money in the form of xoc dia. The Police agency seized on the spot more than 72 million VND and many related exhibits.
The investigation process determined that all 13 subjects were drivers of VINACOMAX company. At about 1:30 pm on the same day, after eating rice and drinking alcohol in the kitchen of the operating house of VINACOMAX Company, the subjects invited each other to gamble in the form of xoc dia.
Gambling subjects agreed that each game bet a minimum of 100,000 VND, with no maximum limit (operated by the sic bo player).
