On March 16, according to information from Hung Yen Provincial Police, during patrols and inspections, the Crime Prevention Team of Bac Dong Hung Commune Police, Hung Yen province discovered and caught red-handed a subject in the act of illegally possessing drugs.
Specifically, at about 11:20 PM on March 11, 2026, during patrol and control on road 217 in Nam village, Bac Dong Hung commune, the Commune Police force discovered Nguyen Dan Anh (born in 2004), residing in La Van 1 village, Quynh Phu commune, Hung Yen province, showing suspicious signs.
Conducting an inspection, the task force discovered and seized 2 transparent white nylon bags, about (1 x 1.5) cm in size. Inside each bag were white crystal particles, suspected to be drugs.
At the police station, Nguyen Dan Anh confessed that the two nylon bags mentioned above were "ice" drugs, hidden for personal use. All exhibits have been recorded and seized by functional forces in accordance with the law.
The Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Provincial Police issued a decision to request an appraisal of the seized exhibits to accurately determine the type and volume of drugs. The appraisal results determined that the exhibits seized from Nguyen Dan Anh were Methamphetamine drugs, with a weight of 0.1695 grams.
Based on the results of the examination and collected evidence, on March 14, 2026, the Investigation Police Agency of Hung Yen Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue an order to temporarily detain Nguyen Dan Anh for handling according to the provisions of law.
