On December 31, the People's Council of Kien Giang province passed a Resolution on assigning the total number of civil servants in state administrative management agencies of Kien Giang province in 2025.
According to the Resolution, the Provincial People's Council assigned the total number of civil servants in state administrative management agencies (People's Council and People's Committee) of Kien Giang province in 2025 to be 2,398 people.
According to the People's Committee of Kien Giang province, the number of approved positions has decreased by 38 positions compared to 2024 of 22 units according to the assigned number; 18 units have kept the same number of positions as assigned.
The People's Council of Kien Giang province also passed a Resolution on approving the total number of employees receiving salaries from the state budget in public service units of Kien Giang province in 2025 as 27,710 people.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, the number of employees receiving salaries from the state budget in the above-mentioned public service units of Kien Giang province in 2025 has decreased by 740 people compared to 2024. Of which, 12 units have reduced the number of employees receiving salaries from the state budget, switching to receiving salaries from public service revenue; 2 units have been assigned to supplement the payroll from the reserve source; 21 units have maintained the same number of employees assigned in 2024.
