According to Kien Giang Provincial Police, the force is currently implementing peak measures to ensure security, order and traffic safety during the upcoming New Year and Lunar New Year 2025.
During holidays and Tet, the activities of all types of crimes will increase, especially theft, robbery, property snatching, intentional injury, public disorder... In addition to directing the strengthening of all aspects of security and order, the Provincial Police launched a high point to attack and suppress crimes, ensuring security and order before, during and after the New Year and Lunar New Year of At Ty in 2025.
Concentrate forces and means, synchronously deploy measures to attack and suppress crimes and social evils such as theft, robbery, snatching, gambling, etc. The police force increases patrols, controls, ensures traffic safety, prevents and fights fires and explosions, and serves people to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet.
Colonel Nguyen Nhat Truong - Deputy Director of Kien Giang Provincial Police - said: The application of science and technology in crime prevention and control in general and in ensuring traffic order and safety in particular is of great concern to the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial People's Committee.
Previously, the People's Committee of Kien Giang province issued a decision approving the investment project to build safe smart urban subsystems and the Provincial Police Operation and Monitoring Center. Thereby, the Provincial Police was assigned as the investor with a total of 353 cameras serving the work of ensuring security and order. Of these, 36 cameras serve to detect violations of traffic order and safety and a software system to handle violations of road traffic order and safety (commonly known as cold fines).
"Up to now, the Provincial Police have completed the conditions to put the camera system to handle violations of road traffic order and safety into use. It is expected to be implemented in early 2025," Colonel Nguyen Nhat Truong informed.
Regarding ensuring security, order, and traffic safety to serve people during the spring and New Year, we are determined not to let crimes such as theft, robbery, and snatching happen... The provincial police will have specific plans. Increase forces, vehicles, patrols, control, and ensure order and traffic safety on the roads; increase timely support for people when requested.
