On June 1st, Lam Dong Provincial Police organized the launch ceremony of the Community Education Center for Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue (PCCC and CNCH) in Bac Gia Nghia ward.

This is the first model in the province, built to raise awareness, knowledge and skills in PCCC, CNCH for people, students and workers.
According to Lam Dong Provincial Police, the center was formed on the basis of implementing the policy of the Ministry of Public Security on strengthening propaganda and education of fire prevention and fighting skills in the community.
Fire Fighting and Rescue Team Area 12 was chosen as the focal point.

The center is invested with 14 models and equipment serving propaganda, practice and experience.
People can participate in activities such as: using fire extinguishers, deploying fire extinguishers, escaping in smoke environments; escaping through firewalls, escaping from heights with slow-pressing ropes, practicing first aid and preventing drowning.
According to the plan, the center operates with state funding combined with legal socialization, opening on Saturdays and Sundays of the first week of each month or according to the plan of functional agencies.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Tuong Vu - Deputy Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police - said that the urbanization process, population growth and energy demand are increasing the risk of fires, explosions and accidents.
Meanwhile, many incidents occur due to the lack of knowledge and skills to handle situations of the people.
Immediately after the ceremony, many delegates, students and people visited and experienced fire fighting, escape and rescue practice models at the center.
