On the evening of March 5, at the 30th anniversary ceremony and receiving the Second-class Labor Medal of MEDLATEC Health System, Mr. Vu Manh Ha - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Minister of Health - congratulated the outstanding achievements that the group has built over the past 3 decades.
From a small and very difficult laboratory, MEDLATEC has steadfastly chosen the path of development based on solid expertise, advanced technology and professional ethics. In particular, pioneering the deployment of home testing sample collection services very early is not only a creative step in the service model but also demonstrates deep humanistic thinking, bringing healthcare closer to people, more convenient and proactive" - Deputy Minister Vu Manh Ha said.
According to Deputy Minister Vu Manh Ha, the consistent viewpoint of the Party and State is to build a fair, quality, effective and integrated Vietnamese health system. In which, the private health sector is an important part together with the State sharing the responsibility of protecting, caring for and improving people's health.
The Deputy Minister of Health requested MEDLATEC to continue to focus on a number of strategic orientations:
Constantly improve professional quality, invest in depth in scientific medicine, technological innovation, especially in the fields of testing, diagnostic imaging and preventive medicine - foundational fields of modern medicine.
Build a team of elite medical personnel, proficient in expertise, with solid medical ethics and standards in practice, taking patient safety as the supreme principle.
Accelerate comprehensive digital transformation, apply artificial intelligence, big data and digital platforms in management and expertise. At the same time, ensure data security and health information security.
Towards building modern testing, diagnostic and hospital centers on par with the region, gradually participating more deeply in the international health network.
Promote social responsibility, actively participate in community health care programs, support vulnerable people. At the same time, strictly comply with the provisions of law, contributing to building a transparent, professional and humane health environment.
The Ministry of Health is committed to continuing to accompany and create favorable conditions for private health facilities to develop in the right direction, healthily and sustainably. Promote effective public-private partnerships, together build a modern, high-quality Vietnamese healthcare system, with the people as the center of service" - said the Deputy Minister of Health.
The MEDLATEC system has nearly 3,000 staff members, including more than 500 specialists and general practitioners serving medical examination and treatment; nearly 700 medical staff serving taking samples for testing on-site throughout the country.
Each year, MEDLATEC serves about 5 million people, and is a reliable partner of more than 17,000 doctors, hospitals, and clinics nationwide.
