Specifically, at around 3:00 p.m. on October 10, at a road section belonging to Group 21, Rach Ham Hamlet, Ham Ninh Commune, the Working Group of the Border Guard Command of Duong Dong Port on patrol discovered a subject possessing drugs.
Subject Nguyen Van Lai (born in 1995), residing in Duong Dong ward, was driving a motorbike parked on the side of the road with many suspicious signs. Upon inspection, Lai was found to have hidden in his pants pocket a piece of white plastic pipe containing white, heterogeneous solid crystalline particles (suspected to be drugs).
Through investigation, Nguyen Van Lai confessed that the above evidence was crystal meth, which Lai bought and hid for use. The working group made a record of the arrest of the offender, seized the related evidence and took Nguyen Van Lai to the Ham Ninh Commune Police Station for investigation and verification.
At 6:00 a.m. on October 9, at the ferry terminal in Bai Vong hamlet, Ham Ninh commune, the working group of the Border Guard Command of Duong Dong port was on patrol and discovered a man transporting prohibited goods.
Subject Nguyen Thanh Phong (born in 1979), residing in Hau Giang province, was holding a yellow foam box with suspicious signs. The working group requested an inspection and discovered that the foam box contained 250 packs of smuggled cigarettes.
The unit has drawn up a record of temporary detention of vehicles and exhibits of administrative violations according to regulations, invited individuals to work, and verified related contents.
Also on October 9, the Working Group discovered 4 vehicles storing electric shock tools for fishing.
Specifically, on the morning of October 9, the Border Guard Station Working Group at Duong Dong Port on patrol and control duty in the sea area at the mouth of Duong Dong River discovered 4 fishing vessels KG-305xx-TS, KG-309xx-TS, KG-18xx-TS, KG-256xx-TS anchored, with electric shock devices stored on the vessels.
Through initial investigation, the captain and crew members both admitted to using the electric shock device to exploit aquatic resources.
The working group requested the captain and crew members to bring the vehicle and evidence to the Border Guard Station at Duong Dong port for verification and clarification.
