Bringing air guns to hunt for birds, two men in Hung Yen were handled by the police

    Hung Yen - Luong Bang Commune Police consecutively discovered two cases of illegal use of air guns, seizing many related exhibits.

    On November 4, according to Hung Yen Provincial Police, recently, in Dong Ly village, Luong Bang commune, the Working Group of Luong Bang Commune Police inspected and discovered Vu Quoc Bao (born in 1993, residing in Dong Ly village, Luong Bang commune, Hung Yen province) holding a leather bag containing a metal gun in the form of an air gun, 90cm in total body length, 56 lead bullets, 1 box of bullets and 1 conduct.

    At the police station, Vu Quoc Bao confessed that he had just used the gun to shoot two storks, and was being discovered by the authorities while preparing to take them home.

    Also for the act of illegally using air guns, in Mat village, Luong Bang commune, Luong Bang commune police continued to discover Do Manh Hai (born in 1986, residing in La Xa village, Nguyen Trai commune, Hung Yen province) holding an air gun and 10 metal bullets.

    Before that, Hai had just used the gun to shoot and kill a bird, and was being discovered by the police.

    Currently, Luong Bang Commune Police are continuing to investigate, verify, and consolidate the records of the two cases to handle the subjects according to the provisions of the law.

    According to the provisions of Clause 2, Article 2 of Law No. 42/2024/QH15 dated June 29, 2025 of the National Assembly on the management and use of weapons, explosives and support tools, all types of shot guns, air compressors, air compressors, bullets and basic components of guns are determined to be on the list of military weapons issued by the Minister of Public Security.

    The police agency recommends that people absolutely do not buy, sell, store, use, or illegally transport military weapons in any form. When detecting subjects with signs of violations, it is necessary to promptly report to the police force to prevent consequences and ensure safety for the community.

    People should also proactively contact and hand over to the nearest commune-level police the weapons and explosives for guidance on handling according to legal regulations, to avoid serious legal consequences that may occur.
