On November 17, information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province said that according to the latest statistics, each day, the whole province generates about 2,550 tons of household waste.
The amount of newly generated household waste is mainly concentrated in urban areas such as: Da Lat (350 tons/day), Phan Thiet (330 tons/day), Duc Trong (200 tons/day), Bao Loc (180 tons/day) and Gia Nghia (170 tons/day).

Currently, Lam Dong has 28 units, 7 factories, 20 landfills and 9 projects under implementation. The rate of collection, transportation and treatment of household waste is about 90 - 95% in urban areas and 60 - 65% in rural areas.
The whole Lam Dong province has also built nearly 4,400 tanks and 23 warehouses temporarily wrapping pesticides and transporting them to treatment areas according to regulations.
There are 8 industrial parks in the province that have built and put into operation a centralized wastewater treatment system that meets 100% of environmental protection standards.

According to the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province, in recent times, the unit has focused on coordinating with functional agencies and localities to strengthen supervision, inspection and strictly handle violations in the environmental field.
Currently, the province is continuing to implement green growth projects, biodiversity protection and ecological environment. Thereby, building and replicating organic and circular production models to adapt to climate change in the area.
