On May 25, functional agencies of Bo Y commune, Quang Ngai province, advised children and teenagers in the area not to order and use new types of rubber guns, which are highly dangerous.
Causing consequences may be subject to administrative penalties or criminal prosecution.
Previously, on May 21, Bo Y Commune Police received information from some people in Dak Me village about regularly hearing unusual noises outside their houses in the evening.
When inspecting, many households discovered iron pellets lying on the porch, along with traces of impact on doors and walls, causing people to panic and worry that someone intentionally used a air gun to shoot into the house.
Immediately after receiving the reflection, the Commune Police directed the Regional Police force to coordinate with the local security force to conduct patrols and verification.

Only a few days later, functional forces determined that the cause was that some teenagers used new-style rubber rods, bought online to shoot birds. Due to strong firepower, the iron pellets flew into residential areas, affecting people's houses.
Related cases include A N. and A C. (both born in 2012, residing in Dak Me village). The commune police conducted education, deterrence, requested them to write commitments not to possess or use rudimentary weapons, and confiscated 2 rubber cannons.
Through expanded review, functional forces continued to mobilize 2 other teenagers to hand over 1 rubber umbrella.
Currently, many new types of rubber rods are sold rampant online with the ability to fire high-speed, long-range iron pellets, which can penetrate and cause serious injuries, especially dangerous if hitting the head, eyes or neck.
Functional agencies recommend that parents need to strengthen management and education of their children, to avoid these dangerous items becoming a threat in the community.
