Young people spread green lifestyles from fabric and old clothes recycling projects

From used clothes, students have had green ideas, creating a new life cycle for recycled and environmentally friendly products.

From old clothes products, students of Phenikaa University have proactively built a special project to recycle waste into meaningful gifts and spread the message of environmental protection to the whole society.

The Phenikaa Xanh project is being widely implemented, with the goal of calling on officials and students of the school to join hands in donating used clothes. Instead of letting this material source be wasted and become a burden of waste, all collected products will be sorted.

Good clothes will be washed thoroughly to be sent to people in mountainous areas or disadvantaged circumstances. Meanwhile, fabric products or clothes that are no longer used will enter a creative revival journey.

Under the skillful hands and enthusiastic spirit of young people, old fabrics and clothes have been quickly processed and sewn into handbags, wallets or cute teddy bears. These unique products will appear in school events as souvenirs, aiming to raise the awareness of the school community about reusing materials.

This meaningful model quickly approached and attracted a large number of students to accompany, turning a purely volunteer activity into a creative space full of energy for youth. The harmonious combination of environmental protection and social responsibility has helped the project receive great response from youth union members.

Sharing about the goal of this activity, Bui Thi Mai Anh, a student at the school and also an active member of the project, expressed: "Through this green idea, the group wants to strongly spread to everyone around the message old clothes, new life cycle, green creativity, and reducing waste".

As for Nguyen Thi Hai Yen (student at Phenikaa University), these practical activities are not only purely environmental protection but also a great opportunity for students like Yen to have profound community experiences, contributing to helping many difficult lives through small daily actions.

Assessing the spread of the project, Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh Tra, Secretary of the Youth Union of Phenikaa University, said that the Phenikaa Xanh project is just one of many green ideas of students being implemented at the school. From these practical initiatives, the sustainable lifestyle and environmental protection habits of young people are being clearly defined, not only stopping at developing skills for students but more broadly towards sustainable development for the entire community.
