69 more cases hospitalized, 379 cases of suspected poisoning due to banh mi
On November 30, the Department of Health of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that as of 4:00 p.m. on November 29, the total number of cases treated at Vung Tau Hospital, Vietsovpetro Medical Center and Ba Ria Hospital due to suspected poisoning due to banh mi was 379.
Of these, 249 cases have stabilized, been discharged from hospital and are being monitored at home; 129 cases are still being treated, including 6 severe cases (with hypotension/shock, including 1 child) being monitored. 1 death is suspected to be due to food poisoning.
Thus, on November 29, there were 69 more cases of poisoning, suspected to be caused by banh mi, recorded at 3 medical facilities in the area.
Currently, the health sector is waiting for food testing results from the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Public Health, and coordinating with relevant agencies to continue investigating and clarifying.
