Mountainous Provinces Focus on Mitigating Floods and Landslides
Following a period of heavy rain, the provinces of Cao Bằng and Lạng Sơn have reported significant losses in terms of both human life and property.
According to the Office of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Cao Bằng, widespread heavy rain throughout the province over the past week resulted in 23 houses being damaged due to landslides, with dozens of critical transportation routes being disrupted due to large-scale landslides. The province of Cao Bằng has reported 2 fatalities as a result of landslides, with rocks rolling into houses.
100 Billion-Dong Road Connecting Lạng Sơn and Thái Nguyên Completed
After two years of construction, the 100 billion-dong road connecting the difficult-to-reach areas of Lạng Sơn and Thái Nguyên provinces has been completed and put into operation.
The Tân Tri - Nghinh Tường road was constructed on the poor Tân Tri Commune (Bắc Sơn, Lạng Sơn) and connects with Võ Nhai District (Thái Nguyên), with a total length of 9.3 km and a total investment of nearly 120 billion dong, managed by the Lạng Sơn Construction and Maintenance Management Board for Infrastructure.
Helicopter Transports Fishermen from Trường Sa to Shore

At that time, the Bình Định fishing boat was fishing in the waters near Tiên Nữ Island (Trường Sa District).
