Da Nang police seek victims in DRK virtual currency fraud case worth about 2,000 billion VND

On January 28, the Investigation Police Agency of Da Nang City Police said they are investigating the case "Using computer networks, telecommunications networks, and electronic means to commit acts of property appropriation" that occurred in Da Nang city and other provinces and cities in 2020, 2021 by subject Huynh Duc Van (residing in Hoa Cuong ward, Da Nang city) and accomplices.
The investigation results determined that around the beginning of 2020, Huynh Duc Van colluded, discussed and divided work with other subjects to create a "ghost" project on his own virtual currency named "DRK" and then promoted communication with many false information on social networks to lure many people to participate in order to appropriate property.
After enticing many investors to participate, by the end of 2021, the subjects decided to dismantle the "DRK" project, delete the website, delete the fanpage and related groups to appropriate all the money of the investor and then exchange it for Vietnamese money for personal spending.
