On June 16, Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision to merge Lai Chau Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station and decisions on personnel work.
Accordingly, Lai Chau Newspaper and the Provincial Radio and Television Station will be merged into Lai Chau Newspaper under the Provincial Party Committee from June 20, 2025.
The organizational structure of Lai Chau Newspaper after the merger includes the Editorial Board, including: Acting Editor-in-Chief and Deputy Editor-in-Chief.
8 specialized departments, including: Organization - Administration Department; Technical and Technology Department; Secretariat - editing Department; Electronics and Digital content Department; Radio and Television Department in Ethnic languages; News - Politics Department; Economic - Social Department; Arts - Entertainment Department.
For Lai Chau Newspaper Printing House, in the immediate future, maintain the organization and operation. Lai Chau Newspaper (after the merger) will develop a roadmap to dissolve the Printing House according to regulations.
The conference also announced decisions on personnel work of Lai Chau Newspaper. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Viet Manh - Editor-in-Chief of Lai Chau Newspaper (old) will hold the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Lai Chau Newspaper after the merger, for a term of 5 years from September 1, 2021 and assign the Acting Editor-in-Chief from June 20, 2025 until the position of Editor-in-Chief of Lai Chau Newspaper is completed.
Deputy Editor-in-Chief include: Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ha - Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station; Nguyen Ngoc Truyen - Deputy Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station; Tran Van Dung - Deputy Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station; Du Khanh Kien - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the old Lai Chau Newspaper; Vu Thi Thu Huong - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the old Lai Chau Newspaper.
