On October 1, detention facilities in Quang Tri province held a ceremony to announce the President's 2024 amnesty decision for prisoners serving prison sentences.
Accordingly, in Quang Tri province, 30 prisoners were granted amnesty on this occasion.
At Nghia An Prison - Ministry of Public Security, 26 prisoners were awarded amnesty certificates and citizen identification cards.
At the Quang Tri Provincial Police Detention Center, Dong Ha City Police Detention Center and Quang Tri Town Police Detention Center, a ceremony was also held to announce the President's amnesty decision for four prisoners.
The prisoners granted amnesty this time have completed at least half of their sentences; followed the regulations of the detention camp and temporary detention house well; had good reform results and were recommended by the Steering Committee on Amnesty of Quang Tri Provincial Police to the Amnesty Advisory Council for consideration and decision on amnesty.
