The "Golden Moment" Press Photo Award is held nationwide to honor outstanding authors and press works that capture impressive moments through the lens of photography.

According to the organizers, over the past 6 seasons, thousands of high-quality photojournalism works that have the power to spread and move viewers have been submitted to the contest, showing that the photography life is extremely vibrant, constantly developing with the pace of life of the country and increasingly integrating deeply with world photography.
Journalist Vu Viet Trang - General Director of Viet Nam News Agency, Chairman of the 7th Golden Moment Press Photo Award Council - said: "The Organizing Committee hopes that the Golden Moment Press Photo Award will increasingly become an attractive playground, attracting a large number of journalists and photographers to participate as well as contributing to promoting the development of press photography, improving the effectiveness of information and propaganda in the new period".
Accordingly, participants include professional and non-professional photographers who are Vietnamese and foreign citizens.
The photo submitted to the contest is a single photo or a photo series (photo reportage/group photo). In which, for a single photo, each photo is a work. A photo series consists of 5 to 10 photos.
Contest photos must be in color or black and white. The work must be taken using realistic methods, and the lighting can be adjusted, but absolutely no collages or additions or subtractions that distort reality.
All photos must be taken between August 15, 2023 and November 30, 2024. The Organizing Committee will accept entries from October 24 to November 30, 2024.
The 7th "Golden Moment" Press Photo Awards ceremony is expected to take place in December 2024. The jury will select the best works to award 1 First Prize (worth 20 million VND); 2 Second Prizes (15 million VND/prize); 3 Third Prizes (10 million VND/prize); 5 Encouragement Prizes (worth 5 million VND/prize).
