On May 2nd, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT), Dak Lak Provincial Police informed that functional forces had discovered and arrested a subject for illegally possessing drugs on the Ho Chi Minh road.
Accordingly, on the evening of April 30, the Traffic Police Team of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 was on duty at Km 1790+700 (section passing through Hoa Phu commune) when they received a report about a subject showing signs of suspicion related to drugs.
Initial information said that subject N.D. T was driving a car with license plate 92A-225. xx moving in the direction from Dak Lak province to Lam Dong province, showing signs of using and illegally possessing drugs.
Immediately after receiving the report, the working group quickly deployed forces, strengthening strict control of vehicles circulating on the route.
At about 9:50 pm on the same day, functional forces discovered a vehicle with characteristics matching the received information and signaled to stop the vehicle for inspection.
Through inspection, subject N.D. T (born in 1991, residing in Da Nang) presented all relevant documents. However, checking on the subject, functional forces discovered a white nylon bag, inside containing white solid crystals and drug use tools.
At the functional agency, the suspect initially confessed that the above crystals were methamphetamine, bought for personal use.
Currently, the case has been handed over to competent authorities to continue investigating, clarifying and handling according to the provisions of law.
