On July 15, Mr. Pham Viet Thang - Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Power Company said that currently units directly under Ha Tinh Power Company have been and are deploying the clearing of trees and handling existing problems in the power grid corridor.
At the same time, coordinate with local authorities to propagate and handle violations, ensuring the power system operates safely, stably, and continuously, especially when the rainy and storm season is approaching.
Currently, Ha Tinh Power Company is managing and operating more than 276 km of 110kV power lines; 3,831.8 km of medium voltage power lines; nearly 7,980 km of low voltage power lines and 13 110 kV substations with 20 transformers and 4,242 distribution substations spread throughout the province.
The large volume of the power grid, many power lines passing through planted forests, hills, residential areas, production areas and infrastructure development areas, makes the protection of the power project corridor always face many pressures.
This is not only a requirement in technical management and operation of the power grid but also requires close coordination between the electricity industry, local authorities and people in protecting power projects.
According to statistics, from the beginning of 2026 to now, 16 incidents have occurred in Ha Tinh due to violations of the power grid safety corridor, an increase compared to the same period last year.
The main causes still stem from trees outside the corridor that are at risk of falling on power lines, kite flying, construction, using mechanical vehicles to construct without ensuring safe distance and some other violations.
Most of the violations stem from people not fully understanding the danger level of high-voltage electricity as well as the provisions of law in protecting power projects.
