On September 8, at the hall of the People's Committee of Rach Gia Ward (An Giang), a review of military service was held for male citizens of military age who are ready to join the army; citizens performing their duty to join the People's Public Security in 2026.
The meeting reviewed each specific case based on criteria on politics, ethics, health, cultural level and family circumstances. The approval process is carried out publicly, democratically, ensuring fairness and compliance with legal regulations.
The Ward Military Service Council has focused on reviewing the list of citizens on the basis of ensuring the criteria of health, cultural qualifications, technical expertise, and moral qualities; seriously implementing the work of reviewing the source of youth of military service age.
The approval process is carried out publicly and democratically, ensuring compliance with procedures and creating social justice. Young people who meet all the prescribed standards will be included in the list to prepare for military recruitment and call-up.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Bui Trung Thuc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee - Chairman of the People's Committee of Rach Gia Ward - Chairman of the Military Service Council emphasized: this is the first year of selecting and calling citizens to join the army under the two-level local government, so it requires the role of the entire political system in widely disseminating the meaning and sacred responsibility of performing military service. At the same time, it is required that local units conduct preliminary selection and examination in a fair and objective manner, ensuring the selection of young people with good political qualities and ethics, ready to serve the Fatherland.
This is an important step in the selection and calling of citizens to join the army, contributing to the protection and construction of the country.
