On September 10, the Department of Construction of Quang Tri province and the People's Committee of Dong Hoi ward said that they had just granted a license to the Provincial Police to temporarily use a number of routes in Dong Hoi ward to organize the Marathon "80 years of Quang Tri Police - Imprints of a journey" on the morning of September 14.
Specifically, from 4am to 9am on September 14, many roads in Dong Hoi Ward will be diverted:
Tran Hung Dao Street: the section from Bao Ninh Sea Square to Vo Nguyen Giap intersection uses the entire road surface; the section from Vo Nguyen Giap intersection to Nhat Le bridge uses 1/2 of the road surface on the left side of the route.
Vo Nguyen Giap Street: the section from Tran Hung Dao intersection to Dien Bien Phu intersection uses the entire road surface.
Dien Bien Phu Street: the section from Vo Nguyen Giap intersection to Nhat Le 2 Bridge uses half of the road surface on the right side of the route.
Nhat Le Street: the section from Nhat Le 1 Bridge to Nhat Le 2 Bridge was licensed by the People's Committee of Dong Hoi Ward for temporary use by the Provincial Police to organize a race from 4am to 8am on the same day.
According to the plan, with routes only using half of the road surface, vehicles will travel on the remaining part, complying with the regulation of the authorities. As for Vo Nguyen Giap and Nhat Le routes, which use the entire road surface, vehicles will be directed to Nguyen Thi Dinh and other urban routes.
The provincial police recommend that people proactively grasp information, adjust their journey, and follow instructions at the site to ensure the Marathon takes place safely and smoothly.
The Marathon is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day, the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection.
