On August 1, Hanoi City Police said that Khuong Dinh Ward Police had clarified the subject who broke into people's houses with the intention of stealing property that occurred in the area.
Previously, in the early morning of July 31, Khuong Dinh Ward Police received a report about the discovery of a subject committing the act of breaking into a house at No. 426 Khuong Dinh street with the aim of stealing property.
Immediately after receiving the information, officers and soldiers of the Ward Police urgently arrived at the scene, controlled and took the subject to the headquarters for clarification.
The identity of the subject was identified as Tran Dinh Giap (born in 1994; permanent residence in Van Du commune, Nghe An province).
At the police station, Giap confessed that he took advantage of people sleeping soundly, climbed through the 3rd floor window to break into the house with the aim of stealing property, but was discovered by the homeowner.
Notably, Tran Dinh Giap is a subject with 4 previous convictions, 2 previous offenses, all related to the act of property theft.
The subject just completed his prison sentence on March 29, 2026.
Khuong Dinh Ward Police are completing the file to handle the subject according to the provisions of law.
