On the morning of January 14, Phu Tho had 92 students violating traffic laws

In just one morning on January 14, the Traffic Police of Phu Tho Province recorded 92 cases of students violating traffic safety.

According to information from Phu Tho Provincial Police on the morning of January 15, since Decree 168/2024/ND-CP of the Government regulating administrative sanctions for violations of traffic safety order in the field of road traffic took effect (from January 1, 2025), people have basically raised their awareness of complying with traffic safety laws.

However, there are still cases of teenagers and students deliberately violating the law, especially during school hours. In addition to coordinating with educational institutions to strengthen propaganda and dissemination of traffic safety laws to students, traffic police from the province to the grassroots have increased patrols, control and strictly handled violations.

On the morning of January 14, 2025, the provincial traffic police force recorded 92 cases of students violating traffic safety regulations, imposing fines of over 30 million VND. Of which, 23 cases were handled in Viet Tri city alone. The main violations were: driving without a helmet, underage, no license plate, covering the license plate...

According to Phu Tho Provincial Police, in the coming days, the Traffic Police will continue to strictly handle cases of violations by students. For cases of driving underage or not meeting the prescribed conditions, the cases of handing over vehicles will be strictly handled.

Phu Tho Provincial Police recommend that parents manage their children well, remind them to strictly comply with the Road Traffic Safety Law; absolutely do not give vehicles to children who are not old enough or do not meet the conditions according to traffic regulations to drive.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, after 2 weeks of implementing Decree 168, traffic accidents have decreased sharply:

Compared to the same period: 355 fewer cases (-34.27%), 47 fewer deaths (-11.41%), 426 fewer injuries (-34.24%)

Compared to the previous period: 347 fewer cases (-34.53%), 94 fewer deaths (-20.47%), 301 fewer injuries (-39.92%).
