On May 18, functional forces of Dak Lak province are verifying and clarifying a traffic accident between an electric bicycle and a motorbike that occurred on Provincial Road 1, passing through Ea Wer commune, causing two people to be injured and hospitalized for treatment.
According to initial information, at about 6:01 am on May 18, N.B. N (resident of Dak Lak province), an 8th grade student of Nguyen Truong To Secondary School, was driving an electric bicycle in the direction from Ea Sup commune to Buon Ma Thuot ward.
When reaching Km11+300 Provincial Road 1, in the area of hamlet 10, Ea Wer commune, an electric bicycle driven by Nam collided with a motorbike with license plate 47H7-7236 driven by Mr. H.V. D (resident of Ea Wer commune). At the time of the accident, Mr. D was traveling from Tan Hoa market to Provincial Road 1.
The collision injured Mr. D and N, who were taken to the Central Highlands Regional Hospital for emergency treatment. Property damage is estimated at about 2 million VND.
According to initial assessments by functional agencies, the cause of the accident was that Mr. D did not slow down and did not yield when driving from the branch road to the main road. The incident is currently being further investigated and clarified.
