On July 15, Quang Ninh Provincial Police announced that the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police had detained 13 subjects to investigate the acts of robbery and disturbing public order.
Previously, at around 3:00 a.m. on July 9, Bui Duc B (born in 2005, residing in Dong Mai ward, Quang Ninh province) was driving a motorbike carrying his friend Nguyen Duy Q (born in 2005, residing in Vang Danh ward, Quang Ninh province) on the road in Dong Mai ward when he had a conflict with a group of people riding many motorbikes. After that, B drove the car at high speed to run away.
Thinking that he was being Provoked, the group chased after him. When arriving at the Thac Mo rest stop (Dong Mai ward), the subjects blocked the car, used sticks to smash the vehicle, threw beer bottles and robbed B's motorbike license plate and then fled.
Immediately after receiving the crime report, the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police presided over and coordinated with the Police of wards and communes to clarify the subjects.
According to the police, through understanding the situation on the internet discovered at a group, the subjects posted a video of a license plate robbery to show off their achievements.
On July 11, the authorities clarified and arrested a group of subjects including: Ban Tien Hung (born in 2007), Duong Manh Tuan (born in 2007), Vu Minh Sang (born in 2007) and Trieu Van Huy (born in 2006), all residing in Quang La commune; Ha Duy Lam (born in 2008), Truong Anh Tuan (born in 2008), all residing in Thong Nhat commune; Ngo Anh Kiet (born in 2008), Pham Duc Anh (born in 2008), all residing in Viet Hung ward; An Huu Minh (born in 2009), Hoang Anh Viet (born in 2009), Do Van Thinh (born in 2009), all residing in Ho Bo ward; Tran Quoc Anh (born in 2008, residing in Nguyen Nguyen Thanh ward, Hai Phong city) and Van Giang (born in 2007, residing in Bac Giang province, Ninh Duong province).
In addition to disturbing public order, the police agency also conducted an investigation into the act of robbery of some subjects in the above group to strictly handle them according to the provisions of the law.
