On August 27, Vinh Long Provincial Police said that Long Ho Commune Police are consolidating the case file to handle N.V.N, temporarily residing in Binh Phuoc Commune, Vinh Long Province, for illegal river sand mining.
Previously, at around 10:00 a.m. on August 24, through patrolling, Long Ho Commune Police discovered and temporarily detained Mr. N's vehicle with signs of illegal river sand trading (without documents, invoices for mineral trading) with a volume of about 10m3 in An Phu A Hamlet, Long Ho Commune, so they invited him to the police station for questioning.
At the police station, Mr. N, the owner of the vehicle, confessed to having purchased the above sand from a sand mining vehicle outside the Tien River (in the area of Nhon Phu commune, Vinh Long province), without a purchase and sale invoice for the purpose of reselling for profit.
Long Ho Commune Police have drawn up a record of administrative violations in the field of mineral resource trading and continue to investigate to clarify and handle them according to the provisions of law.
