The Kien Giang Provincial Police Youth Union has just coordinated with the Provincial Police Detention Center and the Lawyers Association - Ho Chi Minh City University of Law to organize the program "Lighting up the dream of rehabilitation" in 2024. The program is also associated with propaganda, education, legal advice and gift giving for prisoners serving their sentences at the Provincial Police Detention Center.
The program has many meaningful and practical contents such as: Discussions to listen to prisoners share about their reform process, determination, overcoming difficulties, spreading positive spirit and expressing their wishes and aspirations... to educate union members and young people to always comply with the provisions of the law and be useful to society.
On this occasion, the Lawyers Association disseminated, educated, and advised prisoners serving prison sentences to understand regulations such as criminal records and criminal record deletion; laws on residence registration and citizen identification; laws on labor and employment; and specialized activities on overcoming adversity...
Lieutenant Colonel Truong Van Quoc - Head of the Provincial Police Youth Union said: "The program "Lighting up the dream of rehabilitation" is one of the key activities of the Youth Union of the Provincial Police Youth Union, demonstrating the role, responsibility, care and sharing of young police officers for those who have made mistakes. Through propaganda, dissemination and legal education activities, we aim to join hands in educating, reforming and helping prisoners reintegrate into the community, especially young prisoners."
