Within the framework of the working program between the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, Minister Trinh Viet Hung and Minister Song Miryung signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine and animal quarantine, thereby officially announcing the opening of the market for processed chicken products between the two countries.
This result is not only of commercial significance, but also shows that the two sides are gradually strengthening coordination mechanisms in quarantine, quality supervision and completing technical requirements for products of animal origin. In the context of increasingly tightened import standards, the establishment of a clear cooperation framework between the management agencies of the two countries is considered an important foundation to expand the space for businesses.
As a large-scale enterprise, C.P. Vietnam currently operates the CPV Food Binh Phuoc chicken farming and export processing complex. The project is developed according to the integrated Feed - Farm - Food chain, including a feed factory, an incubator, a farm system, a slaughterhouse and a processing plant.
The opening of the Korean market to Vietnamese processed chicken is expected to create more motivation for domestic businesses to invest more heavily in deep processing, standardize production processes and improve competitiveness. In the long term, with closer coordination between management agencies and businesses, Vietnam's poultry industry has more opportunities to participate deeper in the global food value chain.
