Don't wait until you're thirsty to drink
When you feel thirsty, your body has shown signs of dehydration. Therefore, you should take steady sips of water throughout the day instead of drinking a large amount of water at once.
Add watery foods to your diet
Add foods such as watermelon, cucumber, orange and yogurt to your meals. This not only helps provide water but also supplements essential nutrients lost through sweat.
Avoid consuming too much caffeine and sugary drinks
Drinking too much tea, coffee, or sugary drinks can increase the risk of dehydration. Instead, prioritize gentler options such as herbal filtered water, buttermilk, or coconut water.
Wear cool clothes and eat lightly
You should choose breathable fabrics like cotton to make your body feel better in hot weather. At the same time, prioritize light meals because fatty foods can make you feel sluggish and uncomfortable.
Limit going out in hot sunny weather
Avoid going out between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, when the sun is at its highest intensity. If you are forced to go out, bring drinking water and cover yourself carefully to limit the risk of dehydration and heatstroke.
