650 pairs of fake branded sandals seized in Hai Duong

Hai Duong - A business household in Hai Duong was recently discovered to be storing 650 pairs of fake Hermes sandals for the purpose of selling them on the market.

According to information from the Hai Duong Provincial Market Management Department on December 31, on December 30, Market Management Team No. 3 of the Hai Duong Provincial Market Management Department coordinated with the Hoang Dieu and Gia Loc Commune Police to conduct a surprise inspection of the business location of the business household Luu Xuan V. headed by Mr. Luu Xuan V. in Truc Lam village, Hoang Dieu commune, Gia Loc district, Hai Duong province.

At the time of inspection, the business was trading in various types of shoes and sandals, including 650 pairs of sandals bearing the Hermes brand (stylized “H” logo), a trademark protected in Vietnam, without invoices or legal documents, showing signs of being counterfeit goods.

In the initial investigation, the business owner admitted that the sandals were counterfeit goods purchased to sell for profit. All goods with signs of violation were temporarily detained by the authorities for verification and handling according to regulations.

Gia Loc District, Hai Duong Province is one of the province's famous craft villages for producing and processing all kinds of shoes and sandals. However, recently, the authorities have also discovered and handled many cases of producing and trading fake shoes and sandals of famous brands in this area.
