On April 17, information from Tien Giang Provincial Police said that the Traffic Police Department of Tien Giang Provincial Police has just issued a decision to confiscate 2 motorbikes with license plates 71G1-080.84 and 71K1-033.12 for their involvement in illegal racing.
These are 2 vehicles related to the case of 26 subjects violating traffic order and safety on National Highway 1 on October 19, 2024.
At that time, many subjects in provinces such as Ben Tre, Long An, Dong Thap, Ho Chi Minh City were driving motorbikes, preparing to gather in Can Tho City.
On the way, these subjects drove motorbikes in groups, weaving, swerving, revving the engine and violating regulations on ensuring traffic order and safety. When the subjects moved into Cai Lay town, they were discovered by Tien Giang Provincial Police and worked with 26 subjects to handle them.
During the investigation of the incident, the task force identified two subjects Vo Thanh Luan (21 years old, residing in Phuoc My Trung commune, Mo Cay Bac district, Ben Tre province) and Tran Hai Phuc (23 years old, residing in Giao Long commune, Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province) who had a "challenge" to see whose vehicle was running faster, so they together raced illegally on National Highway 1, from Dong Tam Intersection to Cai Lay town.
After investigation, based on the provisions of the law, the Traffic Police Department of Tien Giang Provincial Police issued a decision to administratively sanction Vo Thanh Luan and Tran Hai Phuc, each subject with 12.5 million VND, and revoked the right to use the driver's license for 4 months and confiscated the two violating vehicles.
