The program is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and the 27th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Coast Guard.

More than 60 officers, soldiers, and youth union members of the unit collected more than 1 ton of various types of waste, mainly plastic bags, plastic bottles, household waste, etc., and took them to the right place for treatment. This is a practical activity to clean up the living environment, contributing to preserving the bright, green - clean - beautiful landscape in the area.
Lieutenant Colonel Phan Tien Tung, Political Commissar of Squadron 422, emphasized: The general cleaning activities not only contribute to building regular storms and a clean landscape environment but also spread the message of protecting the marine environment, raising public awareness in limiting waste, keeping the homeland's sea and islands clean and sustainable. Thereby further strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people in the area where the troops are stationed".
