Lao Cai - Loving gifts have been given to disadvantaged children in Van Phu ward before International Children's Day June 1.

On May 29, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that in response to the Action Month for Children in 2026 and activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnamese Family Day, many meaningful activities have been implemented to care for and support children in difficult circumstances in the area.

The activity is implemented to implement the "Three Firsts" emulation movement and programs to care for and protect children launched by Lao Cai Provincial Police.

In which, on May 28, the Women's Union of Detention Center No. 2 in coordination with the Women's Union of the Criminal Judgment Enforcement and Judicial Assistance Department, Mobile Police Department of Lao Cai Provincial Police visited and encouraged families with children in particularly difficult circumstances in Van Phu ward.

During the visit, the working delegation came to encourage Tran Khanh Linh (born in 2016). Her father died early, her mother got married, and currently her 4 siblings are being directly raised by her paternal grandparents.

The delegation also visited Luong Thi Thuong (born in 2019). The family is classified as a poor household, parents are not living together, and the 3 brothers currently live with their paternal grandparents in difficult conditions.

At the families, police officers and women's union members cordially inquired about the learning and living situation of the children and shared and encouraged relatives to continue to care for and create conditions for them to rise up in life.

On this occasion, the delegation presented gifts worth a total of 2 million VND to the two families.

Although the material value is not large, the gifts contain the feelings, care and responsibility of the female police force of Lao Cai province towards children in difficult circumstances.

The activity contributes to spreading the spirit of mutual affection, and at the same time brings children a warmer and more meaningful International Children's season.
