On July 20, Da Huoai Commune Police (Lam Dong) said that the unit is investigating and handling a group of subjects for gambling in the form of football betting.
Previously, in the early morning of July 19, during the peak period of fighting against gambling crimes in the form of football betting during the 2026 World Cup season, Da Huoai Commune Police discovered a group of subjects participating in betting on the third-place match between the French and English teams.
The group of arrested subjects included Tran Van Duc (born 1993), Tran Van Trung (born 1990), Pham Duy Phuong (born 1990), Nguyen Binh Duong (born 1988) and Pham Duy Dong (born 1994), residing in village 11, Da Huoai commune.
Through initial investigation, the police agency determined that the subjects had bet a total amount of 42.3 million VND.
At the police station, the subjects admitted to gambling in the form of football betting.
Currently, Da Huoai Commune Police are continuing to investigate and consolidate the file to handle the subjects according to the provisions of law.
