Can Tho - Seeing a motorbike parked with no one watching, the two young men stole it and ran out.

On December 1, Can Tho City Police said that Cu Lao Dung Commune Police had coordinated with An Thanh Commune Police to arrest 2 subjects for property theft just 12 hours after the incident.

After receiving the victim's report, at around 3:00 a.m. on November 28, 2025, Mr. Loan drove a motorbike with license plate 83L1-0914 to the son-in-law's house in An Nghiep hamlet (Cu Lao Dung commune) to pull the shrimp. At around 8:00 p.m. the same day, when he returned, he discovered that the car was missing. Checking the security camera, he discovered two strangers riding a bicycle in front of the area, one subject came in and took the car out onto the street, then both of them fled.

Upon receiving the report, Cu Lao Dung Commune Police quickly assigned a task force to investigate according to identification characteristics. At 8:00 a.m. on November 29, the authorities identified and arrested two teenagers involved, Thach Nguyen Hong H (born in 2009, residing in An Quoi Hamlet, Cu Lao Dung Commune) and Nguyen Quoc K (born in 2010, residing in Tan Nguyen Quarter, Tan Hiep Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

At the police station, the two subjects confessed that at around 6:00 p.m. on November 28, H was driving a bicycle carrying K out from H's grandmother's house. When arriving at Xom Moi area (Binh Du B hamlet) at around 7:00 p.m., they both saw a motorbike without a guard, so they had the intention to steal it. K got off the bicycle, approached and drove the motorbike towards Rach Ngay bridge, while H continued to ride the bicycle. Because they broke the car's locking rope but the car did not start the engine, the two drove for more than 50 meters and parked on a pair of plastic paths before continuing towards the People's Committee of Cu Lao Dung commune.

When arriving at Ong Tu canal area in An Nghiep hamlet (Cu Lao Dung commune), the two subjects continued to discover a motorbike with license plate 83L1-0914 parked in front of a shrimp material shop, a closed house and a deserted area. K approached and drove the car onto the road and started the engine. K drove the bicycle and used his feet to step on the rear footrest to carry the bicycle, bringing it back to H's grandmother's house to hide. K then drove a stolen motorbike to take H to Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province (old) to go out.

At around 8:00 a.m. on November 29, 2025, the police discovered the two subjects driving the above motorbike moving from An Thanh commune to Cu Lao Dung commune, so they coordinated to block and arrest them.

The case is currently being investigated and handled according to the provisions of law.
