Propagating the law to more than 2,000 students in Phu Quoc

Kien Giang - The propaganda session attracted more than 2,000 cadres, teachers and students of An Thoi 2 Primary and Secondary School, Phu Quoc City to actively participate.

On December 15, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 coordinated with the Propaganda Department of Phu Quoc City Party Committee to organize a propaganda session on the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard; school drug prevention and control for officers, teachers and students at An Thoi 2 Primary and Secondary School.

With a flexible, effective, friendly, easy-to-understand form of propaganda in a two-way interactive way so that students can express their feelings, thoughts, and perceptions. The propaganda session attracted more than 2,000 cadres, teachers, and students of An Thoi 2 Primary and Secondary School to participate in response.

Through this, school staff, teachers and students will better understand the position, functions and tasks of the Vietnam Coast Guard; help students gain self-prevention skills and raise their sense of responsibility in the fight against drugs, preventing drugs from entering schools.

At the propaganda session, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 donated 1 television to the school to support teaching and 20 scholarships (1 million VND/scholarship) to 20 students who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies.

Ms. Le Thi Hai Yen, Principal of the school, said: The propaganda session provided very useful knowledge for students to foster their love for the sea and islands of their homeland, continue to practice and develop a healthy and useful lifestyle, raise awareness and stay away from drug abuse.

This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.
