On May 7, according to information from Vinh Long Provincial Police, Phu Tan Ward Police are continuing to investigate and verify to handle subjects involved in illegal drug use in Huu Thanh neighborhood, Phu Tan ward.
Previously, at about 11 pm on April 30, the Phu Tan Ward Police force inspected the house of Phan Xich Nhat Yen (born 1983, residing in Huu Thanh neighborhood, Phu Tan ward) and discovered many people gathering to use illegal drugs.
The subjects present at the scene include Tieu Nguyen Hien (born 1998, residing in An Hoi ward), Nguyen Le Li Na (born 2000, residing in Ben Tre ward), Nguyen Ngoc Vu (born 1983, residing in Nhuan Phu Tan commune) and Phan Minh Tuan (born 1987, residing in Tan Thanh Binh commune).
Through inspection, the police force made a record of temporarily seizing 1 set of drug use tools and 2 pieces of plastic pipes containing suspected drugs. Conducting an emergency search of Yen's residence, the police continued to discover another nylon bag containing white crystals suspected to be drugs.
The rapid test results showed that all 5 subjects were positive for drugs. According to the forensic examination conclusion, the temporarily seized substances were drugs with a total weight of 0.0436 grams.
Currently, Phu Tan Ward Police are preparing a file, continuing to investigate and handle the subjects according to legal regulations.
