On March 5, Ward 8 Police, Vung Tau City coordinated with the Office of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency to prepare a case to handle Nguyen Huu Son (born in 1999, residing in Thanh Hoa) for robbery.
According to initial information, due to needing money to spend, on the afternoon of March 3, Son drove a motorbike through many routes to find people who were vulnerable to appropriate property.
At around 4pm, when arriving at alley 378 Truong Cong Dinh, Ward 8, Son discovered two children riding a bicycle together, in which the child sitting behind was using a phone. Therefore, the subject approached and snatched the phone and escaped.
After receiving the information, Ward 8 Police urgently verified and searched for the subject Nguyen Huu Son to work. At the police station, Son admitted to the crime.
During the verification process, the authorities determined that the subject had a previous conviction for robbery and theft, and had just been released from prison on January 25.
